Young Leader Unit
The Young Leader Unit is a part of the Explorer Section and members of this unit may also be active members of an Explorer Unit such as Nexus. Young Leaders are those aged between 14 and 18 who are giving back their time, skills and knowledge to help with the Beaver, Cub or Scout sections in the Group.
Young Leaders will take part in a formal training programme, leading to the Young Leader Belt. This training covers a range of leadership skills to help develop the individual in working with and training others.
The Young Leader Unit and training is coordinated with meetings held approximately every two months.

Badges @ Home
There are a number of Challenge Awards and Activity Badges that can be done at home. Why not give them a go and gain some more badges for your uniform
- Select a Badge
- Complete a requirement
- Ask a parent or other adult to confirm you have completed it
- Take a picture or two if you can
- let your leader know that you have done it
Please Note
- There will be some requirements that can not be completed at Home. Don't worry the Leaders will make sure you have the opportunity to do these.
- Some requirements need you to show improvement over many months, but you can make a start now
- Some choice may be restricted to keep appropriate social distancing
- Please contact your leader if you need any help or advice.
