Another Great Evening

Report Date 20/05/15

The above comment was made by Leah Turner, the Mayor of Havant who joined about 80 others for our Annual Awards and Presentations evening.

Following the formal business, we were all entertained by presnetations from members of the Group on the varied camps and expeditions that took place in 2014 entitled "From Brownsea Island to the Normandy Beaches".

There were 2 special presentations:-

The Royal Antideluvian Order of the Buffaloes (Hayling Branch) made a generous donation to the Group as part of our camping equipment replacement programme. Members of the RAOB are seen presenting one of three tents purchased to Pete Goddard, our Group Quartermaster.

Janet and Brian Bocking have been involved with and supporters of Scouting on Hayling for many years and this year made a donation that we have used to purchase a specialist tent to support the 4 and 5 day expeditions undertaken by the Explorer section. Kaj Carter is receiving the tent from Janet on behalf of the Explorers.

Thank you all for your generosouty.
