Gold Award for Jack & Chris

Jack Allison and Chris Hughes were presented with their Chief Scout's Gold Awards, the top award of the Scout section by Ian Stott, District Commissioner for Scouting in Havant.

To gain this award, Scouts have to complete a range of challenges including Camping, Expeditions, Fitness, Creative along with Community Service projects and traditional Scouting Skills. In addition the Scouts are required to demonstrate Leadership skills and take an active part in the running of a Scout Troop. For their personal projects, Jack chose to organise an Expedition and to produce a display of this years Summer Camp, cycling along the Normandy beaches in France whilst Chris challenged himself to improve his swimming ability in addition to organising a 2 day expedition.

On presenting the awards, Ian Stott congratulated the two Scouts and thanked the Leaders and Parents for their continued support.
